Administrative Team
Dee Dee – Office Manager/Registered Dental Assistant
Dee Dee joined our practice in 1987 as a dental assistant and is now a Registered Dental Assistant with nitrous oxide monitoring certification. She has extensive knowledge of all aspects of a modern and cosmetic dental practice and serves as our office manager and is one of the key reasons for our continued growth and success. Dee Dee’s friendly and outgoing personality helps put our patients at ease and makes their visit to our office that much more enjoyable.
Mona – Appointment Coordinator
Mona is our cosmetic dental appointment coordinator and joined our team in the spring of 2009. She brings with her a wealth of experience in customer relations and business management. Her excellent organizational skills and bilingual ability make her perfect for maintaining our appointment schedule.
Katie – Receptionist
Katie joined the Tier One Dental team in January of 2011. She is our receptionist and plays a vital role as the first person to greet and assist visitors to our office as well as a multitude of other front office responsibilities. With her previous hospital emergency room experience and great personality, Katie is the perfect person for this position and we are eager to see her blossom as our newest team member.
Hygiene Team
Tammy – Registered Dental Hygienist
Tammy is an original team member, first joining Dr. Henry in 1980 as a dental assistant. After completing dental hygiene school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1983, she returned to become the head of our hygiene department. With Tammy’s years of dental hygiene and cosmetic dentistry experience come the extensive knowledge and skills that enable her to provide our patients with outstanding dental care. Knowing that a healthy smile leads to better over-all health, Tammy’s goal is for all of our patients have beautiful and healthy smiles!
Pam – Registered Dental Hygienist
Pam is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined us in 2002. She received her degree in dental hygiene from Bee County College in 1980. Her light-hearted but caring demeanor coupled with many years of dental hygiene experience has proven to be a huge asset to our practice and patients. With Pam’s assistance, our patients always seem to leave our office with a big, bright, healthy smile!
Shelley – Registered Dental Hygienist
Shelley entered the dental profession as a chairside dental assistant working for Dr. Henry during the 1990′s. She came to realize her main interest was dental hygiene and decided to attend dental hygiene school in Beeville where she earned her Registered Dental Hygienist degree. In December of 2010 we were thrilled to have Shelley rejoin our team as a dental hygienist. Her gentle touch and pleasant personality are appreciated by everyone and we are proud to have another outstanding individual as part of our Tier One Dental team.
Dental Assisting Team
Shawna – Registered Dental Assistant
Shawna joined us in 2006 as our hygiene appointment coordinator. Since then, she has undergone extensive training and tests to become a Registered Dental Assistant who is also certified to monitor the administration of nitrous oxide conscious sedation. Shawna now spends her day as a chairside assistant and stays very busy taking care of patients by x-rays, managing the dental lab, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the hygienists and cosmetic dentists, Dr. Henry and Dr. McCown.
Rayeder – Registered Dental Assistant
Rayeder joined us in the summer of 2009 as a graduate of the Texas Lutheran University dental assisting program. She is a Registered Dental Assistant with nitrous oxide monitoring certification. Rayeder has become quite an asset to the clinical team. She spends her day assisting Dr. Henry and Dr. McCown and the hygienists in all tasks. She is outgoing and helps our patients feel comfortable during their dental appointment. Rayeder is responsible for taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, and operatory preparation.
Sandy – Registered Dental Assistant
Sandy joined the Tier One Dental team in October 2010 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She is a graduate of San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants and has over five years experience as an assistant. She is also fluent in Spanish further enhancing our bilingual capabilities. Sandy’s steady, calm, and professional attitude is very relaxing and reassuring, enabling us to give our patients a positive experience while at our office.
